Professor of Anatomy
Dr. Deniz Demiryürek was born in Ankara, Turkey in 1970. He was graduated from T.E.D. Ankara College in 1987 and from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1994. He started his doctorate in Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Anatomy in 1996 and gave his thesis about "MR imaging determination of the normal level of Conus Medullaris" in 1999. After his military service, he was attended as instructor at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Anatomy in 2000. He received his associate professor title in 2004 and professor title in 2010. He has been working as the head of the Department of Anatomy since 2019 and was the Dean of Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine between May 2021 - August 2024. He is also the head of Mesotherapy and Acupuncture Department of Hacettepe University Hospitals. He has 41 international publications, 230 international presentations in international congress and 417 citations in indexed international scientific journals. He has 1 international scientific award. His scientific fields of interest are clinical anatomy, infective agents in fixed human cadavers, computer aided three dimensional reconstruction techniques, mesotherapy and acupuncture.
